Every Child Matters to us here at the Prep. We actively promote the five key outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda.

Nursery

Our Nursery is an integral part of the Ilford Ursuline Preparotory School. Entry is at three years of age or the term of their third birthday and our nursery is fully equipped to accommodate both boys and girls.  Our children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme in Nursery and Reception Class.   The EYFS is based on principles of inclusion opposing any form of discrimination or prejudice.

Our children receive abundant individual attention from well qualified experienced staff. We offer Early Years education at its most varied recognising the importance of all areas of a childs development, academic, emotional, social, physical and moral.

Our pupils are encouraged to learn through individual programmes designed to meet each childs needs and stage of development. They are encouraged to think creatively, explore their environment and problem solve and so form their own understanding of the world around them. We offer a rich and varied education with specialist teaching in French and Music.

Sound traditional teaching, structured play activities, songs, rhymes and physical activities all develop high standards of learning within a happy, caring and stimulating environment.

We aim to develop the childs self confidence, independence, powers of expression and enthusiasm for learning. We recognise the importance of play and games in the childs development and want them to have
fun and enjoy their learning.
